Chasing zero with solid oxide fuel cells and liquid organic hydrogen carrier.
With EU funding and a strong industrial partnership behind it, Ship-aH2oy is a pioneering initiative for zero-emission shipping. The project aims to introduce high-temperature solid oxide fuel cells and liquid organic hydrogen carrier (LOHC) for maritime use. This will result in a safe and sustainable solution for power and heat generation on ships. The system will be demonstrated on board a service operation vessel, with the aim of achieving zero-emission offshore wind operations.
